HD Hyundai Heavy Industries confirms it has started building the last of three next-generation Aegis destroyers for South Korea’s Korean Air and Missile Defense (KAMD) system. The third ship’s groundbreaking event was held at Ulsan headquarters with DAPA, DTaQ, and Defense Rapid Acquisition Technology Research Institute officials attending. Delivery to the Republic of Korea Navy is set for late 2027.
