Airbus and Tata Advanced Systems Limited have inaugurated a final assembly line for the H125 helicopter in Karnataka, marking India’s first privately operated helicopter assembly facility. Located in Vemagal near Bengaluru, the plant will initially focus on the civil H125 and later the H125M military variant. Operations will include integration, testing, parts manufacturing, and lifecycle support, with the first helicopters expected in early 2027. Powered by the Safran Arriel 2D engine, the H125 is optimized for high-altitude missions and is suited for India’s Himalayan operations.
