
A 6.5-billion kroner ($642 million) agreement will see Germany’s F-35 jets outfitted with Kongsberg’s Joint Strike Missiles.
Germany’s Parliament cleared the acquisition on June 4, making the country the latest to join the JSM operator group.
The contract is scheduled to be finalized in the first half of 2025.
Under a bilateral government arrangement, Norway will handle the procurement process from Kongsberg.
Germany employed a similar approach during its NSM Block 1A missile acquisition.
This partnership continues with the joint development of the Tyrfing missile — a supersonic successor to the NSM.
