General Dynamics European Land Systems (GDELS) has supplied the first Eagle 6×6 medium protected medical vehicle to Germany’s armed forces, as part of a $159 million agreement signed in 2020 for up to 80 units. The vehicle was delivered to the Medical Training Regiment in Feldkirchen during an active field exercise.

Intended to enhance Germany’s medical evacuation capabilities, the Eagle 6×6 will supplement existing platforms like the Eagle Ground Reconnaissance System and the Boxer armored vehicle.

The Eagle 6×6 measures 7 meters in length and supports up to 6,000 kg in payload, accommodating as many as 14 occupants. It is powered by a 360-horsepower diesel engine, coupled with an Allison automatic five-speed gearbox and a De Dion fully independent suspension system.

Capable of reaching speeds up to 110 km/h with a 700 km operational range, its ambulance configuration includes advanced life-saving equipment and a versatile stretcher system for transporting up to two patients.
