The German Armed Forces have ordered over €130 million worth of Rheinmetall communication headsets that combine hearing protection with battlefield connectivity. The order covers 50,000 SmG sets integrating active noise reduction, microphones, and multi-radio compatibility. Supplied with partners 3M Peltor and Ceotronics, the headsets enable soldiers to communicate clearly while protecting against harmful impulse noise. The delivery represents the third lot under a seven-year framework that could reach 191,000 units, reinforcing Germany’s soldier-systems modernization.
