The German Navy is set to enhance its maritime training infrastructure after awarding Fassmer a contract for four purpose-built training vessels. Part of the Sea-Based Training and Sea Trials initiative, the program aims to modernize instruction in seamanship, navigation, and operational safety. Delivery of the first vessel is planned for 2028. The award builds on Fassmer’s prior cooperation with German naval authorities and reflects Berlin’s continued investment in strengthening foundational maritime competencies across its naval workforce.
