Finland has strengthened its F-35 program by assigning Patria responsibility for local assembly of Pratt & Whitney’s F135 engines. Work is underway at the new Nokia-based site and will extend through the decade, including sustainment services. The initiative supports Helsinki’s 64-aircraft F-35 acquisition valued at nearly $10 billion, with the first jet scheduled for delivery in 2026.
