As part of a modernization program signed in 2023, the Estonian Defense Forces received 4×4 and 6×6 military trucks from Volvo. The Volvo fleet, which makes use of the company’s 44R and 66R systems, is one of three groups that Tallinn purchased to improve the military’s ground-based vehicles for logistical and tactical uses. Modern platforms range in length from 5 to 6 meters (16 to 20 feet) and have a payload capacity of 13,600 to 20,800 kg (29,982 to 45,856 pounds).
