EOS has announced the acquisition of MARSS Group, significantly enhancing its counter-drone capabilities through the integration of NiDAR command-and-control technology. NiDAR provides a software-defined C2 backbone that connects sensors, effectors, and unmanned platforms, enabling coordinated responses to drone threats, including autonomous operation during swarm attacks. By combining this capability with its existing remote weapon and sensor portfolio, EOS aims to deliver fully integrated, turnkey counter-UAS solutions for military, homeland security, and civil infrastructure customers. The acquisition also broadens EOS’s international presence and supports its ambition to compete for larger programs involving airports, ports, and energy facilities, where layered and networked drone defense is increasingly critical.
