EDGE, a leading UAE state-owned defense firm, has announced a $2.45 billion deal with Kuwait for the supply of eight Falaj-3 patrol vessels, along with full lifecycle services.
The contract comprises design work, shipbuilding, sea trials, and ongoing support, reflecting both nations’ alignment on regional defense strategy. The vessels are expected to strengthen Kuwait’s naval deterrence in the Arabian Gulf.
In an earlier agreement, Kuwait had tapped EDGE for upgrades to its naval fleet and personnel training, cementing the UAE’s role as a regional defense partner.
