Boeing has received a $13.1 million contract from the US Department of Defense to modernize infrared countermeasure systems on C-17 Globemaster III aircraft operated by Canada and Australia. The upgrades will transition aircraft from the Block 10 to Block 30 configuration, enhancing protection against heat-seeking threats. Work will be carried out in San Antonio through 2030, in coordination with the US Air Force Life Cycle Management Center.
