Rolls-Royce’s mtu division has secured orders to supply 350 Series 199 engines for Boxer armored vehicles, reinforcing the platform’s standardized propulsion architecture. Ordered by Rheinmetall and KNDS, the engines support Boxer variants for Germany and export customers. Rolls-Royce is expanding the Series 199 family with more powerful configurations while maintaining component commonality across variants. The strategy is designed to reduce logistical burden, streamline maintenance, and enhance operational availability across multinational armored vehicle fleets.
