Seeking to extend the service life of its UH-60M Black Hawks past mid-century, the US Army has issued a request for industry input on large-scale airframe modernization. The program would overhaul up to two dozen helicopters per year, repairing fatigue damage and replacing worn components while boosting long-term readiness. Alongside structural refresh efforts, the fleet is receiving advanced upgrades such as digital architecture, autonomous flight capabilities, and enhanced mission systems, ensuring the platform remains viable for future multi-domain operations.
