China is developing an AI-powered solution to help torpedoes correctly identify enemy submarines among deceptive decoys.
Early testing revealed the system reached over 92% accuracy in distinguishing true targets from false ones, researchers wrote in Command Control & Simulation.
If fielded, this tech would make underwater evasion more difficult for adversaries by bypassing traditional countermeasures.
