BAE Systems has been chosen by the US Army to create a prototype of the Multi-Domain Artillery Cannon (MDAC) system, which can fire hypersonic projectiles. The contract was given to the Virginia-based company without a competitive bidding process and was initially announced late last year. The MDAC system will have two multi-domain battle management systems, four precision radars, and eight guns.
