The Royal Australian Navy has received its tenth Evolved Cape-class Patrol Boat from Austal, marking the conclusion of the fleet’s acquisition phase. Built in Western Australia, the patrol vessels provide long-duration maritime security coverage with improved surveillance and interception capabilities. The ships accommodate up to 32 personnel and can operate independently for nearly a month while conducting border enforcement and monitoring missions. The program’s completion reinforces Australia’s coastal security posture, while parallel construction continues for Australian Border Force patrol assets based on the same design.
