In order to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) technologies into military land vehicles, Daimler Truck and ARX Robotics have formed a strategic alliance. Using ARX Robotics’ Mithra OS operating system, the cooperation will concentrate on incorporating robotics and AI into Daimler Truck’s Mercedes-Benz Special Trucks, such as the Unimog and Zetros models. Following integration, the two businesses will carry out a testing campaign to improve networking, teleoperation, and autonomous capabilities. ARX Robotics stressed that land forces need to embrace software-defined capabilities in order to “be an efficient part of the NATO armed forces.
