The US Air Force is expanding its cyber defenses through a new zero-trust deployment led by GDIT, covering nearly 200 bases and over a million users. Valued at $120 million, the program integrates AI-driven monitoring with strict access controls designed to prevent lateral movement by attackers. Zero trust has become a cornerstone of US defense cybersecurity strategy, with DISA and industry partners supporting rapid adoption. The Everest platform is intended to safeguard sensitive data while enabling faster threat detection and response across global air force networks.
