The Russian military has received a fresh shipment of upgraded Su-57 stealth fighters from state aerospace manufacturer UAC. These aircraft reportedly incorporate improvements shaped by combat lessons, including refined mission systems and expanded weapons integration. The Su-57, Russia’s flagship fifth-generation platform, is designed as a multirole successor to older Soviet-era fighters. With a top speed of roughly Mach 2, a service ceiling near 20 kilometers, and long operational range, it is capable of engaging aerial, maritime, and ground targets using cannons, guided bombs, and multiple missile types. Beyond domestic deployment, Moscow is said to be exploring foreign sales prospects in several regions, with leaked materials indicating outreach to countries such as Iran and Algeria. Discussions about potential licensed production in India further suggest efforts to internationalize the aircraft’s manufacturing and sustainment base.
