As part of the army’s Synergy of Contact Reinforced by Versatility and Infovalorisation (SCORPION) program, France has purchased 530 Serval 4×4 Lightweight Multirole Armored Vehicles. French Armed Forces Minister Sébastien Lecornu announced the agreement, which calls for the systems to be delivered between 2025 and 2031. The deal also includes the provision of an additional 97 vehicles that will be purchased based on the needs of the army. If all options are exercised, the transaction may be worth over 1 billion euros ($1.03 billion).
