Elbit Systems has secured contracts worth approximately $100 million to advance digital modernization efforts for the Israel Defense Forces. The agreements support the military’s transition to a fifth-generation tactical cyber network designed to unify command, control, communications, intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, digital fires, and border security systems into a single multi-domain architecture. In cooperation with Israel’s Directorate of Defense Research & Development and the Ground Forces, the company will implement the “Tzayad” Next Generation Digital Ground Army framework. The initiative is intended to accelerate sensor-to-shooter timelines, expand tactical data capacity, and incorporate artificial intelligence into operational decision-making. A complementary program, known as “MARS,” will enhance border defense by integrating AI-driven target detection, classification, and multi-service coordination across large networks of sensors and effectors.
